Tameside 4 Good has teamed up with Tameside Council to invite businesses and community organisations to sign up to Match Made in Tameside event on Tuesday 29th November 2016.

Match Made in Tameside is a speed networking initiative that introduces businesses to local good causes with the aim of making at least one positive ‘match’ from which each business can provide support. The event will kick start the season of giving as part of the global #GivingTuesday movement.

The Match Made in Tameside event asks local good causes to have clear, simple asks of how businesses can help their organisation (not involving asking for cash), linked to helping meet skills gaps, donating resources or time to help them make a difference.

Amy Rowlands, Tameside 4 Good fundraiser, commented: “Match Made in Tameside is a brilliant opportunity for community groups to reach local businesses. hat are short of time to find complimentary projects that they can work together on to help improve local lives.”

Benchmark Building Supplies attended the first Match Made in Tameside event in May 2015. The local building merchant supported several local businesses including sponsoring Baggy Trousers UK's new website.

#GivingTuesday, led in the UK by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), will take place on Tuesday 29th November 2016, following the huge retail sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The campaign offers an alternative to the shopping frenzy and encourages people to do good stuff for the charities and causes they care about.
